Well Done
You did it! Congratulations, you have completed the Didgeridoo Dojo Beginner Lessons.
You have come sooooo far, it’s time to stand tall, recognise how much you have learnt, and give yourself a huge pat on the back.
Let’s take a look at what you have learnt so far…
- How to warm up and the best playing positions
- How to make the drone sound
- Making a sharp, high quality drone with the Mona Lisa smile
- Changing the didgeridoo sound with your voice, to make animal sounds like the dingo howl, the dog bark and of course the great Australian kookaburra
- How to change the sound with your tongue movements and mouth shapes, allowing you to make the “wee or wee or” sound, miming the English vowels, the kangaroo hop, the tongue roll and even miming the word “didgeridoo”
- Then there is the diaphragm, which you now use to play louder and quieter and get a pulsing rhythm happening
- Circular breathing! Awesome! Such an amazing technique which allows you to play continuously, well done
- And finally you have been able to combine all of these new techniques together to start playing didgeridoo rhythms
You have truly done an incredible job and you should be proud of yourself.
You are now a didgeridoo player.
Bask in your glory, enjoy the feeling, take a huge breath and brace yourself… you are ready to really fire up your didge playing in the Didgeridoo Dojo Intermediate Lessons.
