Troubleshooting Your Jaw Harp Sound (4 of 9)
Lesson Overview
In this lesson, Sanshi is going to teach you how to change the sounds you create on your Jews Harp by changing the Vowels through the shape of your mouth.
Lesson Goals
- Be able to produce different vowel sounds on a Jews Harp
- Be able to create combinations of sounds by changing your vowels while playing the Jews Harp.
Training Tips
- Changing the shape of your mouth creates different sounds on a Jews Harp.
- Try creating the sounds by changing the shapes of your mouth the same way as you pronounce the vowels A-E-I-O-U, but do not create a sound. Also make sure that your teeth and lips do not move while you’re playing the Jews Harp.
- Basically, the tongue movement creates the sound as well as the space on your mouth when you change your vowel.
- Try making some combinations by changing your vowels when playing.
