Meet the passionate, fun and sometimes a little crazy,
Didgeridoo Dojo team!

Yoshitaka Saegusa aka “Sanshi”, Co-Founder
You always know when Sanshi is around. People are laughing, jokes are flying, the store vibe is peaking and amongst the craziness, Sanshi is shaking the walls with some of the most incredible didge playing you will ever hear.
Sanshi is undoubtedly one of Australia’s most talented didgeridoo players – far out this guy can play!
(You can check out some of Sanshi work here: http://www.didgeridoobreath.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=fish+out+of+water )
He has a heart of gold. His caring nature and generosity are greatly appreciated by everyone around him.
Sanshi was built to perform. There is no doubt you will see Sanshi on a huge stage playing in front of thousands of people, somewhere in the world in the coming years.
He is bubbly, friendly, motivating, encouraging and wacky… and to top it all off… has the coolest hair-do!
When not recording Didgeridoo Dojo lessons for you, you’ll find Sanshi down the beach playing with his family and jamming with friends.

Koji Matsumoto
Koji has a unique, contemporary playing style that is very different to traditional didgeridoo playing. Click play on the video to hear Koji’s story from the man himself. Koji’s lessons are available under the Advanced section of the site here: www.didgeridoodojo.com

Nathan
Nathan is our guest presenter on our Didgeridoo Beatboxing lesson series.
Similar to a lot of Blues and roots musicians, he’s a bit of a hippie activist, with many of his songs dealing with subjects like setting aside time from the hustle ‘n’ bustle of modern life to children being locked in detention centers. But he’s also quite the larrikin and loves to spin funny yarns about his adventures on the road, like his Lucky Man Story about the hilarious reactions he got from blokes in the USA to his (ex)girlfriend as they walked down the street.
Unlike other one-man-bands, Nathan pulls out some extremely left-field stuff that defies genre pigeon-holing, but more than pulls it off. Such as his hilarious beatbox routine where he improvises a bunch of audience-chosen requests of cheesy songs and mixes them up like a DJ.
Nathan has maintained a fiercely independent DIY approach to his original music and has managed to carve out a solid career, even if it sometimes meant going from playing to thousands at festivals with Triple J airplay to small numbers at organic cafes. As long as he’s bringing people together playing live music and earning a living, he’s a happy man.
Nathan’s music will draw you in and make you think, make you laugh and make you move.

Matt
If we had titles, Matt would be our “Didgeridoo Player, Photographer, Tech Support and Video Guy”. Well that covers a few things anyway.
Matt is always on the go and at quite a pace… his legs are most often blurred.
Not that he will ever admit it, but Matt fancies himself as a bit of a tech geek. He loves the latest toys, gadgets and online innovations. Matt is always implementing this, upgrading that and convincing us of the next latest and greatest something.
He is passionate about music and didgeridoo, but most about creating a place where people love to visit, both in-store and online.
When Matt’s not hanging onto a camera and filming the next lessons to release, you will most likely find him sprawled out in the sun at the beach. He is solar powered, so feed him sun and watch him go!
Playing didgeridoo since: 2001
Musical instruments played: didgeridoo, guitar (in a former life)
Favorite food: chocolate!
Country most like to visit: mmmm… anywhere with good snow!
