Breathing Exercise 2
Lesson Overview
You might be wondering why Nathan wanted you to put your hands over your belly while breathing in during the previous lesson. In your last lesson he is going to go further with that exercise to help you better understand what happens inside of your body when you are breathing correctly.
Lesson Goals
- Put your fingertips together over your belly again and keep breathing deeply, making note of everything that is moving, expanding and contracting during each breath
- Keep repeating this step until you have a great understanding of your own breathing
Training Tips
- Doing this exercise every so often is very useful. If you are having some problems with your breathing while playing, try this exercise and see where the problem is coming from
- Stay hydrated while playing the didgeridoo. Staying hydrated is one of the most important parts of playing and beatboxing
- Also, avoid things that will dehydrate you before playing like alcohol, coffee and cigarettes
- Keep practicing the didgeridoo and your beatboxing as well. No one gets better without practice so remember to keep at it
So how are you feeling? Do you feel like a beatbox master on the didgeridoo yet? Let us know what you thought about all of the previous lessons or ask us a question in the comment section below.
