Air Accents
Lesson Overview
This lessons shows you how to add an interesting accent or beat to your playing. This technique helps add a little punch to your playing style
Lesson Goals
- Be able to “break” the drone briefly to create an air accent
- Take a bounce breath as part of this air accent technique
Training Tips
- Try miming the shape “too… too… too” to create the accents
- The letter “t” will help “break” the drone, causing an over-blow sound
- How hard or soft you need to do this will depend a little on your didgeridoo
- Didgeridoos with higher back-pressure will require a hard “too” air accent. Didgeridoos with low back-pressure will do this technique easier using a soft “too”
