The Wobble #1
Lesson Overview
In this lesson, we show you how to play the wobble sound. Every didgeridoo player will probably have a different interpretation of the wobble – each will sound different and involve a slightly different technique. This is the first in the wobble lesson series
Lesson Goals
- Understand the 3 parts to this wobble technique
- Play them smoothly at a medium speed to hear the wobble variation
- Create a rhythm with your new wobble sound
Training Tips
- Each “wobble” contains 3 sounds:
- Ta – small diaphragm pulse
- Cheeks full
- Breath
- Play each sound separately and slowly to get your brain used to the new co-ordination
- As you get comfortable, slowly speed up the technique
- Be patient and practice hard, this technique may take a few weeks or even months to get smooth
- Think to yourself “I will practice this 1000 times”, that way you don’t get disappointed or frustrated after 20 times ????
- Your wobble doesn’t need to sound exactly like this video. There are no rules, work towards a sound that you like best
