Want another unusual sound on your didge? In this lesson, Sanshi will teach you how tongue click on a Didgeridoo.
Lesson Goals
- Be able to produce different sounds on a didge using tongue popping.
- Make variation popping sounds between drone and toots.
- Be comfortable in breathing in while making the pop.
- Create a rhythm through tongue pop.
Training Tips
- You should have already mastered drone and toots before proceeding to this technique.
- First technique is to drop your jaw with your mouth closed, position it like chewing, and have your tongue squeeze some air out.
- You can breath in at any point you are comfortable.
- Try to pop on a relaxed drone, then try it on toots.
- Try creating a rhythm by popping on 2 drones, then 1 toots, or which ever rhythm you are comfortable with.
