Eastwinds 7 for Esi – Advanced Didgeridoo Rhythm

Lesson Overview

In this lesson, Sanshi shares a rhythm that was used by his band on their first album “East winds” for the first track “7 for Esi”.

Lesson Goals

  • Play the rhythm “dan-dan-ditowa”
  • Be able to add in your vocals in between the rhythm to spice it up.
  • Be able to play the rhythm at different pitches.

Training Tips

  • Play the rhythm at a slow speed until you get used to the breathing pattern.
  • Breathing point is one syllable one breath.
  • Squeezing sound is produced at “wa”.
  • Try playing the rhythm while adding your vocals at different points of the rhythm.
  • Try playing the rhythm at different pitches.
  • Repeat the steps until you are comfortable playing the rhythm at a faster speed.
