Tootie Snare
Lesson Overview
In this lesson, Koji is going to teach us to create a tooting sound on a snare
Lesson Goals
- Be able to produce a double wobble sound on a didgeridoo
Training Tips
- Snare is just the same sound like the drum snare
- In this lesson, we will try adding the toot sound before and after the snare sound
- To create the snare sound, you can use the phrase “poo–sst” but you combine them to make one sound like the drum snare.
- The technique is to hold the air in your mouth and not let it come out while you’re trying to produce sound.
- Try making this rhythm on a didgeridoo “ do-do-do-do–poosst” and breathe in after the long phrase
- You can breathe in by adding a “wang” sound in between
- Keep practicing
