Harmonic Phaser
Lesson Overview
Take your didgeridoo rhythms beyond a single bar by overlapping harmonics to create an ever-evolving rhythm
Lesson Goals
- First be able to play the base rhythm “doh(B) doh(B) wah… wah”
- Treat the “doh(B)” as a bounce breath, just like Ha(B) in the bounce breath lessons
- Evolve the “wah” section of the rhythm from a soft harmonic to a sharp harmonic, making small changes each bar
- See how many bars of this rhythm you can play while changing the harmonics
Training Tips
- Having good harmonic control is essential for this technique
- If your drone sound is not very clear, re-visit some of the drone clarifying lessons in the beginner and intermediate sections
- If you are struggling with the breathing, re-visit the bounce breathing lessons in the intermediate section
