Didgeridoo Tree Frog Sound

Lesson Overview

In this lesson we show you another little nifty vocal sound to add to your bag of tricks. It is inspired by the tree frog. It’s easy to do and can sound great.

Lesson Goals

• Be able to play the “you-ga” frog sound with a high pitched vocal
• Be able to keep your drone soft and gentle so the vocal pops out

Training Tips

• Practice saying it without the didgeridoo first – “you-ga… you-ga… you-ga”
• Remember to hold your air in to keep the drone gentle. You are aiming to have your vocal clear and easily heard
• Try to use the smallest amount of air you can when doing the technique
• The higher pitched you can get your voice, the better it can sound
