Didgeridoo Sounds: The Loud Bark
Lesson Overview
This technique is all about volume. Time to step out of you comfort zone and really work those vocal cords
Lesson Goals
- Make your loudest bark using the “ka” tongue movement
- Use a high pitched vocal so your bark stands out clearly from your drone
Training Tips
- Practice your loudest vocal, first without your didgeridoo
- The louder it sounds without the didgeridoo, the louder it will be when you do the same while playing
- Use your diaphragm to give you extra vocal strength
- Keep your cheeks in for extra clarity in the bark
- Keep your drone and airflow low and relaxed. You should feel like you are holding your breath and making your loudest vocal, just in your throat
- The higher pitched your voice is, the clearer you will hear the sound
- Best to practice away from everyone so you are not self-conscious. It’s time to unleash!
