Cleaning Up Your Toot

Lesson Overview

In this lesson we show you how to make your toots squeaky clean. This will not only make them sound way better, it will reduce how much air you use

Lesson Goals

  • Produce a long, consistent, gentle toot
  • Be able to play a toot for at least 10 seconds with just one breath
  • Play a clean toot, not a fuzzy one

Training Tips

  • You don’t need to blow hard. It’s all about the frequency at which you need to vibrate your lips
  • If you play with your didgeridoo positioned on the side of your lips, try practicing the toots with the didgeridoo to the front of your lips first, until you get more comfortable with it
  • Time yourself to see how many seconds you can play a toot for. Record this and try and beat your record

Give it a try, let us know how you go and if you get stuck, post a question in the comments section below.
